Establishment History
- The predecessor of Hanoi Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Joint Stock Corporation was Hommel Brewery built by the French in 1890.
- In early 1957, according to the Government's economic recovery policy, Hommel Brewery was restored.
- In 1993, Hanoi Brewery was converted into Hanoi Beer Company. This is an important step in expanding production and business.
- In 2003, Hanoi Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Corporation was established on the basis of reorganizing Hanoi Beer Company.
- In 2008, the Corporation was equitized and officially operated as a joint stock company from June 16, 2008 with a charter capital of 2,318 billion VND.
- In 2010, the Corporation became one of the two largest beer production enterprises in Vietnam. Currently, the total capacity of the entire system reaches over 800 million liters of beer and is always in the top 3 beer production enterprises with the largest market share in the country.
- Currently, the Corporation plays the role of parent company with 17 subsidiaries and 9 other affiliated and invested companies.

Achievements
During the journey of formation and development, the collective staff of Hanoi Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Corporation were awarded by the Party and State:
- Third Class Labor Medal (1960 – 1962)
- Second Class Labor Medal (1960 – 1962)
- Third Class Victory Medal (1997)
- First Class Labor Medal (2000)
- Independence Order, Third Class (2006)
- Government donated flags in rotation (1992, 1993, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003)
- The Ministry of Industry donated emulation flags (1998, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003). In 2005 and 2006, they received the Government's Emulation Flag.
- The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded the emulation flag for excellent and strong grassroots trade unions (1999, 2000, 2003 - 2006) and received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister in June 2007.
- For 5 consecutive years (1998 - 2002), the Corporation's Youth Union was awarded certificates of merit by the City Youth Union and the Central Youth Union.

- In June 2002, the Corporation's quality management system was certified by TUV NORD of Germany to meet ISO 9001:2000 standards.
- In 2005, HABECO was approved to apply an environmental management system that meets the requirements of ISO 14000:2004.
- In 2006, HABECO built and effectively applied a food safety management system according to ISO 22000:2005
- Achieved Vietnam Quality Gold Cup in 2002, 2005.
- Topten strong brands in Vietnam in 2005.

- Famous Brand Gold Cup 2004 in Madrid.
- European Gold Award for quality and brand reputation in 2005 in Belgium.
- International Asia Pacific Quality Award (IAPQA) 2006.
