Establishment History

Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam Securities Joint Stock Company (BSC), formerly known as BIDV Securities Company Limited, was established under Decision No. 59/QD-HĐQT dated November 18, 1999 of BIDV with an initial charter capital of 55 billion VND. Date On November 26, 1999, the Company was granted operating license No. 02/GPHDKD by the State Securities Commission (SSC) and became one of the first two securities companies operating on the Vietnamese stock market.
On November 24, 2009, BIDV Board of Directors issued Resolution No. 1153/NQHĐQT on implementing equitization of BIDV Securities Company Limited according to the Prime Minister's directive in Official Dispatch No. 305/TTg-DMDN dated February 28, 2008. Implementing the above Resolution, BSC actively implemented and completed the equitization work in 2010. On December 31, 2010, the Company was granted Establishment and Operation License No. 111/GP-UBCK by the State Securities Commission, marking the moment the Company officially switched to operating in the form of a joint stock company.
Since the first day of establishment, BSC has been present in two major economic centers, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Up to now, in addition to the Head Office in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City Branch, BSC has a network of nearly 40 transaction support points in major provinces and cities nationwide. As a member of the BIDV system, BSC always receives strong support from the parent bank throughout its operation and development. From an initial charter capital of 55 billion VND, through 5 capital increases, BSC is now one of the securities companies with the largest charter capital in the Vietnamese stock market.
At the end of 2010, with the development orientation of the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam, the Company conducted equitization and successfully auctioned 10,195,750 shares to the public for the first time on November 17, 2010.
On January 1, 2011, the company changed its name to Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam Securities Joint Stock Company with a charter capital of 865 billion VND, and went into operation with a new model
On July 19, 2011, the Company officially listed more than 85 million shares on the HSX and traded in the first session with a starting price of 10,300 VND/share, marking a new stage of development for the company. Also in 2011, BSC was honored to receive the 3rd class Labor Medal awarded by the State for its contributions to the development of the stock market. And received the award "Best securities consulting company in Vietnam in 2010" voted by the Vietnam Economic Forum and Vietnamnet newspaper.
2012 is a year that recognizes an outstanding mark of financial consulting services. In addition to the effectiveness of traditional consulting services, the Company has created a specialized style in high-quality services such as mergers and acquisitions consulting, M&A consulting, and corporate restructuring consulting. The company has introduced a number of large-scale corporate bond investment opportunities to the market with the parent bank; and successfully participated in the bidding, in a three-party joint venture with Morgan Stanley and Citi Group; Implementation of equitization service package for Vietnam Airlines.
2013 marked the first steps back to the TOP 10 stock brokerage market shares of the two exchanges. The company holds 9th position in the TOP 10 stock brokerage market shares on both HOSE and HNX in 2013, (In the third and fourth quarters of 2013 BSC ranked 7th in the TOP stock brokerage market share on HNX)
2013 was also a year of recognition for BSC's efforts in bond brokerage activities. The company has risen to hold the leading position in the TOP 10 bond brokerage market shares held by HNX in 2013.
In 2014, 2015: Financial consulting activities achieved outstanding achievements with deals that resonated in the market, especially deals such as IPO consulting for Vietnam Airport Corporation; Consulting on issuance of VND 3,000 billion Vinacomin bonds; IPO consulting for Vinatex and Vietnam Airlines. Officially ending accumulated losses in 2015, is the year of recovery, regaining position, gradually moving up, regaining the inherent reputation in the market since 2000.
