- On June 2, 1992, Traffic Construction Corporation 4 (the Corporation) issued Decision No. 56/QD/TCCB-LD to establish Construction Site I, a unit under Traffic Construction Corporation 4.
- On January 16, 1995, Construction Site I was renamed Construction Enterprise I with dependent accounting of the Corporation. On August 30, 1997, Construction Enterprise I was renamed Traffic Construction Company 492 according to Decision No. 172/QD/TCCB-LD of Traffic Construction Corporation 4.
- On September 28, 1998, the Company was transformed into an independently accounted State-owned enterprise according to Decision No. 2448/1998/QD/BGTVT of the Minister of Transport.
- On February 5, 2002, the Minister of Transport recognized Traffic Construction Company 492 to be ranked as a Grade I State Enterprise.
- On April 29, 2004, the Ministry of Transport issued Decision No. 1227/QD-BGTVT to convert the State-owned enterprise: Traffic Construction Company 492 into Traffic Construction Construction Joint Stock Company 492 (ECOJCOM 492) under the State-controlled Traffic Construction Corporation 4, a unit Independent economic accountant.
- On February 14, 2005, the General Meeting of Shareholders established 492 Traffic Construction Joint Stock Company and approved the Company's Charter of organization and operation.
- On November 19, 2007, 492 Construction and Investment Joint Stock Company officially traded 1.2 million shares (par value 10,000 VND/share) on the Hanoi Stock Exchange with the stock code C92.
- On July 10, 2010, Nghe An Department of Planning and Investment issued the 4th amended Business Registration Certificate No. 2900329305.
