Timeline of Establishment & Development:
- An Giang Port Joint Stock Company, formerly known as My Thoi An Giang Port - a state-owned enterprise operating in the field of seaports, was established under decision No. 138/QD.UB.TC dated April 5, 1985 of the People's Committee of An Giang Province;
- On March 29, 2011, My Thoi An Giang Port officially transformed into An Giang Port Joint Stock Company according to business registration certificate No. 1600125108 issued by the Department of Investment Planning of An Giang Province with a charter capital of 138 billion VND, of which the People's Committee of An Giang province holds 52.98% of the charter capital;
- December 22, 2015' The People's Committee of An Giang Province officially transferred the State capital held at An Giang Port Joint Stock Company to the State Capital Investment and Trading Corporation (SCIC);
- Currently, An Giang Port Joint Stock Company manages My Thoi Port (an international seaport belonging to port group number 6 of Vietnam Seaport System) and Binh Long inland waterway port. With the attention of the provincial leaders, the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) and the trust of customers, the Port is increasingly developing and aiming to become the central hub of the Mekong Delta. However, in addition to implementing Decision No. 2190/QD-TTg dated December 24, 2009 of the Government on approving the Development Plan of Vietnam's seaport system to 2020, with a vision for 2030, My Thai Port implemented a port expansion project with a scale of 3.9 hectares, and at the same time built a new wharf to receive ships of 10,000DWT
