- May 22, 2008CPI was granted Investment Certificate No. 22,121,000,062 by the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province for the project of investment in construction and operation of terminals 2, 3, 4 of Cai Lan port with a total investment capital of the project of 155.3 millione USD and complete project preparation procedures to create a clean site to prepare for the establishment of a joint venture.
- June 3, 2008CPI has succeeded in inviting foreign investors to invest in the Quang Ninh regional seaport market by signing a joint venture contract with the world's leading maritime group, SSAHoldings International - Vietnam Joint Venture (SSAHVN). The achievement of this joint venture is the establishment ofCai Lan International Contianer Port Company Limited (CICT) under investment license No. 221,022,000,116 with the task of investing in construction, management and exploitation of the 03 wharves mentioned above.
- In May 2009, the Company registered a public company with the State Securities Commission.
- In May 2012, Cai Lan Port Investment Joint Stock Company submitted documents to the State Securities Commission to increase its charter capital from 300 billion VND to 405 billion VND through a private share offering plan. The plan was approved by the State Securities Commission on May 11, 2012 in official dispatch No. 1458/UBCK-QLPH.
- July 27, 2012 Officially announced the opening of the port according to Official Dispatch No. 2017/CHHVNCTHH of the Vietnam Maritime Administration.
- On August 31, 2012, the port officially received the first ship arriving at the wharf.
- On October 8, 2012, the Company completed the private share offering to increase the owner's investment capital from 300,000,000,000 billion VND to 365,050,000,000 VND
- On November 4, 2014, the organization and operation model of Cai Lan Port Investment Joint Stock Company was adjusted with the merger of the Investment Planning Department and the Trade Department to establish the Investment and Business Department and separate the transportation team from the Business and Trade Department, establishing the Transportation Team; Register for centralized securities depository at the Vietnam Securities Depository (VDS) with the stock code "CPI".
