Timeline of Establishment & Development:

DECOFI's predecessor was the Mulberry Design and Construction Survey Enterprise established under Decision No. 282/NN-TCCB/QD dated September 12, 1990 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry.
On December 31, 1992, the name of Mulberry Design and Construction Survey Enterprise was changed to Mulberry Design and Construction Survey Company.
On November 21, 1994, the name of Mulberry Survey, Design and Construction Company was changed to Construction and Design Company No. 1, a class 1 enterprise, directly under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
In 2003, implementing the State's equitization policy, Construction and Design Company No. 1 transformed into Construction and Design Joint Stock Company No. 1 (DECOFI) - according to Decision No. 792/QD/BNN-TCCB dated March 21, 2003 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in which the State (representing the owner is the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) holds 10% of share capital.
In 2005, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development auctioned 10% of the remaining capital to the public to divest all State capital in the Company.
In 2007, DECOFI established the Branch of Construction and Design Joint Stock Company No. 1, in Ba Tri hamlet, Tan Hiep commune, Tan Uyen district, Binh Duong province according to Decision No. 06/2007/QD-TC/HĐQT dated July 16, 2007 of Construction and Design Joint Stock Company No. 1.
In 2012, DECOFI established Hung Phu Construction and Steel Structure Company Limited, 100% owned by DECOFI according to Decision No. 17/2012/QD-HC/HĐQT dated July 9, 2012 of the Board of Directors.
In 2013, DECOFI implemented business restructuring and established 2 more member companies 100% owned by DECOFI:

- Phuc An Thinh Construction Company Limited according to Decision No. 18/2013/QD- HC/HĐQT dated November 14, 2013 of Construction and Design Joint Stock Company No. 1

- Decofi Construction Company Limited - Hoang An according to Decision No. 15/2013/QD-HC/HĐQT dated November 14, 2013 of Construction and Design Joint Stock Company No. 1.
