Establishment History:
- Ca Mau Petroleum Fertilizer Company Limited, formerly known as the Ca Mau Gas and Power Fertilizer Cluster Project Management Board, directly under the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, with 100% ownership, was established under Decision No. 474/QD-HDTV dated March 9, 2011 of the Chairman. Board of Members of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, after receiving approval from the Prime Minister.
- 2012 is the first year that Ca Mau Petroleum Fertilizer Company Limited went into production and business operations to bring Ca Mau Fertilizer products to the market. Ca Mau Fertilizer Plant with a capacity of 800,000 tons/year, along with other fertilizer plants throughout the country, has contributed to changing and shifting the domestic fertilizer structure, from a country that mainly imports fertilizer, to gradually reducing imports and gradually shifting to a fertilizer exporting country, making an important contribution to the implementation of the Party and State's food security policy.
- Together with Phu My Fertilizer, Ca Mau Fertilizer Plant has increased the nitrogen output produced by PVN to 1.6 million tons/year, meeting about 80% of domestic fertilizer demand, making an important contribution to ensuring supply-demand balance, stabilizing fertilizer prices and national food security, and participating in the export market. In the first phase, Ca Mau Fertilizer Plant focuses on meeting the nitrogen fertilizer needs of the domestic market, especially in the Mekong Delta provinces - the key region for rice production and the largest fertilizer consumption in the country.
- On December 11, 2014, the initial public share auction of Ca Mau Petroleum Fertilizer Company Limited took place at the City Stock Exchange. Ho Chi Minh was a great success. The entire number of shares auctioned was 128,951,300 shares (accounting for 24.36% of charter capital) and were sold.
- On January 15, 2015, PVCFC officially converted to operate under the Joint Stock Company model with listing code: DCM on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange. HCM with 5,294 billion VND charter capital.
