Timeline of Establishment & Development
- Hai Phong Waterway Traffic Assurance Joint Stock Company was converted from a 100% state-owned enterprise - Hai Phong Waterway Traffic Assurance Company Limited and officially operated under the Joint Stock Company model from January 5, 2016.
- Hai Phong Waterway Traffic Assurance One Member LLC was formed and developed through many historical periods. The Company's predecessor was Construction Team III, established on September 4, 1972 in Decision No. 62/QD- of the People's Committee of Hai Phong city, whose main functions and tasks were to salvage and clear canals.
- Implementing Decree 388/HDBT dated October 20, 1991 of the Council of Ministers reorganizing state-owned enterprises. Based on the decentralization of inland waterway management by the Ministry of Transport and the need for local riverway management, on November 5, 1992, Hai Phong City People's Committee issued Decision No. 1234/QD-TCCQ converting Enterprise 25/3 into Hai Phong Riverway Management Section.
- On January 25, 2000, Hai Phong City People's Committee issued Decision No. 151/QD-UB converting Hai Phong Riverway Management Section into Hai Phong Waterway Traffic Assurance Company, a state-owned enterprise operating for public benefit.
- Pursuant to Official Dispatch No. 494/TTg-DMDN dated March 23, 2010 of the Prime Minister on adjusting the plan to arrange and innovate 100% state-owned enterprises under the People's Committee of Hai Phong city, dated June 29, 2010 of the People's Committee of Hai Phong City, issuing Decision No. 1009/QD-UBND on converting Hai Phong Waterway Traffic Assurance Company into a one-member LLC.
- Pursuant to Decision No. 213/QD-UBND dated February 2, 2012 of Hai Phong City People's Committee on the implementation of arrangement and innovation of 100% State-owned enterprises in Hai Phong city in the period 2011-2015. On September 9, 2015, the People's Committee of Hai Phong City issued Decision No. 2055/QD-UBND on approving the equitization plan and converting Hai Phong Waterway Traffic Assurance One Member LLC into a Joint Stock Company.
- On October 1, 2015, the first external partial auction of Hai Phong Waterway Traffic Assurance One Member LLC was held with the number of successfully auctioned shares being 360,000 shares, equivalent to 100% of the shares auctioned, the average successful auction price was 10,200 VND/share.
- On December 1, 2015, the Company successfully organized the General Meeting of Shareholders to establish Hai Phong Waterway Traffic Assurance Joint Stock Company.
- On January 5, 2016, the Company officially operated in the form of a Joint Stock Company according to Business Registration Certificate No. 0200149102 issued by the Department of Planning and Investment of Hai Phong city with a charter capital of 36,000,000,000 VND.
- On May 19, 2016, the company was granted securities registration certificate No. 51/2016/GCNCP-VSD by the Vietnam Securities Depository Center with a registered quantity of 3,600,000 shares.
