Establishment History:
Construction Investment and Development Joint Stock Corporation, formerly known as the Ministry of Construction Motel, was established on May 26, 1990 under Decision No. 311/BXD-TCLD of the Minister of Construction with the initial mission of providing tourism services and nursing work according to the plan of the Ministry of Construction.
Implementing the State's policy on reorganizing production and business in the state-owned economic sector, on May 5, 1993, the Minister of Construction issued Decision 153A/BXD-TCLĐ to re-establish the State-owned Enterprise named Tourism and Construction Investment Company (English transaction name is TIIC) with a total business capital of 8.2 billion VND.
On February 15, 2001, the Ministry of Construction issued Decision No. 223/QD-BXD to change the name of Construction Investment and Tourism Services Company to Construction Investment and Development Company (DIC). On that basis, DIC has developed in a multi-industry direction with dependent units such as Vung Tau Hotel (former Thuy Van Hotel); Construction Enterprise No. 1; Electrical and Water Mechanical Construction Enterprise; Construction Materials Production and Trading Enterprise; Construction Enterprise No. 4 (Old construction materials enterprise); Tourism Service Business Enterprise; Thuy Tien Hotel and Branches in Ho Chi Minh City.
In August 2002, DIC submitted a pilot project to operate under the Parent Company - Subsidiary model. On December 15, 2002, the Prime Minister issued Decision 1158/QD-TTg approving the Pilot Project and the Ministry of Construction issued Decision No. 01/QD-BXD dated January 2, 2003 to establish and regulate the tasks and functions of Construction Investment and Development Company (DIC) into a Parent Company in the Parent Company - Subsidiary organizational model. On July 1, 2003, DIC Group officially switched to the operating model "Parent company - Subsidiary company".
On October 15, 2007, the Ministry of Construction issued Decision No. 1302/QD-BXD on approving the equitization plan of Construction Investment and Development Company. On March 13, 2008, Construction Investment and Development Company officially became Construction Investment and Development Corporation Joint Stock Company with a charter capital of 370,000,000,000 VND.
On September 1, 2008, Construction Investment and Development Corporation Joint Stock Company was renamed to Construction Investment and Development Corporation.
On June 24, 2009, Construction Investment Development Joint Stock Corporation completed the issuance of capital increase according to certificate No. 395/GCN-UBCK dated May 21, 2009 on the public offering of shares; At the same time, register to adjust the Business Registration Certificate to increase the total charter capital of DIC Corp to 600,000,000,000 VND.
In 2010, increased charter capital to 1,000 billion VND and increased the number of shares listed on the Exchange to 100 million shares.
In 2011, increased charter capital to 1,300 billion VND and increased the number of shares listed on the Exchange to 130 million shares.
In 2013, increased charter capital to 1,430 billion VND and increased the number of shares listed on the Exchange to 143 million shares in the first quarter of 2013.
