On August 21, 1992, according to Decision No. 685/TCNS of the General Director of Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation, Vung Tau Petroleum Chemical Products Production Enterprise became the Southern Branch of Petroleum Drilling Fluids and Chemical Products Company.
On July 3, 1996, the Branch of Petroleum Drilling Fluids and Chemicals Company in Vung Tau City was established under Decision No. 2881/DK-TCNS of the General Director of Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation.
On January 19, 2006, the Branch of Drilling Fluids and Petroleum Chemicals Company was converted into the Branch of Drilling Fluids and Petroleum Chemicals Joint Stock Company in Vung Tau by Decision No. 29/QD-HĐQT of the Board of Directors of Petroleum Drilling Fluids and Chemicals Joint Stock Company.
On January 14, 2008, the Branch of Petroleum Drilling Fluids and Chemicals Joint Stock Company in Vung Tau, DMC Southern Company was converted into DMC - Vung Tau One Member Limited Liability Company according to Decision No. 98/QD-DMC of the Board of Directors of Petroleum Drilling Fluids and Chemicals Joint Stock Company.
On December 25, 2008, DMC - Vung Tau One Member LLC was renamed Southern Petroleum Chemicals One Member LLC in Decision No. 1106/QD-DMC of the Board of Directors of PetroVietnam Drilling Fluids and Chemicals Corporation - JSC.
On April 22, 2009, Southern Petroleum Chemicals One Member LLC was renamed DMC Petroleum Chemicals One Member LLC - Southern based on Decision No. 632/QD-DMC of the Board of Directors of PetroVietnam Drilling Fluids and Chemicals Corporation - JSC.
On April 26, 2011, DMC - Southern Petroleum Chemicals One Member Company Limited was converted to a Joint Stock Company model with the new name DMC Petroleum Chemicals Joint Stock Company - Southern based on Decision No. 946/QD-DMC dated April 26, 2011 of the Board of Directors of Petroleum Drilling Fluids and Chemicals Corporation - JSC.
