Establishment History:
- Petroleum Fertilizer and Chemicals Company (now PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation - JSC) was established under Decision No. 02/2003/QD-VPCP dated March 28, 2003 of the Minister, Head of the Government Office.
- On April 21, 2007, the Company offered 40% of its shares to the public at the City Securities Trading Center. HCM. On August 31, 2007, Department of Planning and Investment of City. Ho Chi Minh City issued Registration Certificate No. 4103007696 and PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Joint Stock Company officially came into operation.
- The Company completed the procedures and on November 5, 2007, the Company officially listed 380 million shares on the City Stock Exchange. Ho Chi Minh City (HoSE). The listed company added 11.4 million shares issued under the employee option program (ESOP) on February 26, 2016.
- On May 15, 2008, Department of Planning and Investment of City. Ho Chi Minh City has issued an amended registration certificate No. 4103007696 to PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemical Corporation - Joint Stock Company operating according to the parent company - subsidiary model.
Business Sectors:
The main business of the Corporation is producing and trading fertilizers and chemicals. Currently, the Corporation's main products are clear granular nitrogen fertilizer (urea), NPK, Potassium, SA, DAP fertilizers to serve the country's agriculture, liquid ammonia gas, UFC85/Formaldehyde chemicals, CO2, chemicals used in oil and gas exploitation activities.
Main business location :
- The main production activities of the Corporation are conducted at Phu My Fertilizer Factory, a unit under the Corporation, located in Phu My 1 Industrial Park, Phu My town, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.
- The Corporation's fertilizer business activities spread throughout agricultural and industrial crop growing areas throughout the territory of Vietnam through a product consumption system formed from subsidiaries headquartered in the following regions: the North, the Central and Central Highlands, the Southeast and the Southwest. Besides the domestic market, the Corporation also exports fertilizer products to many countries, concentrated in Asia.
- Regarding chemicals, key customers and markets are concentrated in the southern region and in the oil and gas industry and industrial production.
Development goals until 2035:
Maintaining its position as the No. 1 fertilizer manufacturer in Vietnam and expanding into the field of manufacturing and trading basic chemicals and petrochemicals with the goal of positioning PVFCCo as a pioneering chemical and green energy manufacturer in Vietnam.
- Period 2021-2025: Play a leading and constructive role in the field of fertilizer in the domestic market, in accordance with the Government's 2021-2025 agricultural and rural development strategy. Initially expanding business and chemical production, focusing on researching opportunities to develop petrochemical and clean energy fields such as "green" NH3.
- Period 2026-2030: Invest in expanding production scale in both fertilizer and chemical fields on the principle of optimal use of PVFCCo's infrastructure and resources, integrating with the existing Phu My fertilizer plant and PVN's petrochemical projects.
- Period 2030-2035: Operate and exploit projects for maximum efficiency, become a leading domestic enterprise in fertilizers and chemicals, with a global brand.
