Timeline of Establishment & Development:
- Hanoi Food Import-Export Joint Stock Company, formerly known as Hanoi Food Trading Company, was established on September 28, 1954 under Decision No. 097/BTC-QD-6C of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.
- At the end of October 1988, the Hanoi Union of Food Companies was established to replace the activities of the Department of Food
- In 1992, the Hanoi Union of Food Companies operated in a smaller scope than before, including 18 stores in the inner city, 5 food companies in 5 districts, 5 trading, processing, and general service companies and had 3,146 employees.
- Since the beginning of 2001, implementing the Party's policy on restructuring to improve the efficiency of state-owned enterprises, the Hanoi Union of Food Companies was transferred from being under the Hanoi People's Committee to being a member of the Northern Food Corporation. On March 20, 2001, Hanoi Food Company was established under Decision No. 27/2001/QD/BNNTCCB of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, replacing the Hanoi Union of Food Companies.
- In 2004, the state-owned enterprise Hanoi Food Company was equitized into Hanoi Food Import-Export Joint Stock Company according to Decision No. 4435/QD/BNNTCCB dated December 9, 2004 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
- On March 30, 2005, Hanoi Food Import-Export Joint Stock Company was granted the first Business Registration Certificate No. 0103007225, dated March 30, 2005 by the Department of Planning and Investment of Hanoi City with a charter capital of 30,000,000,000 VND
- On February 3, 2007, Hanoi Food Import-Export Joint Stock Company was approved by the State Securities Commission (SSC) to register as a public company.
- On November 8, 2017, the Company was granted Securities Registration Certificate No. 211/2017/GCNCP-VSD by the Vietnam Securities Depository Center (VSD), with a total number of registered shares of 3,000,000 shares.
