- In March 1993, the City People's Committee issued Decision No. 69/QD dated March 3, 1993 to establish the City Forest Products Company.
- After more than 7 years of operation, in August 2000, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee issued Decision No. 5478/QD-UB-CNN dated August 16, 2000 to merge the Wooden Furniture Export Enterprise and the Seedling and Plantation Enterprise into the City Forest Products Company and change its name to Saigon Forestry Company.
- Pursuant to Decision No. 2591/QD-UB dated June 19, 2002 of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, merging Agricultural Mechanical Equipment and Spare Parts Company into Saigon Forestry Company (two state-owned enterprises under Saigon Agriculture Corporation).
- By 2010, Saigon Forestry Company officially operated in the form of a one-member limited liability company according to Decision No. 3245/QD-UBND dated July 23, 2010 of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City approving the Project to convert Saigon Forestry Company into a one-member limited liability company.
- On November 10, 2015, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City issued Decision No. 5910/QD-UBND dated November 10, 2015 of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City on approving the plan and converting Saigon Forestry Company Limited under Saigon Agriculture Corporation - Limited into a Joint Stock Company.
- On December 15, 2015, the Company conducted the initial public offering of shares through the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange. The average successful auction price is 10,103 VND/share.
- Saigon Forestry Joint Stock Company was granted business registration certificate No. 0300695842 by the Department of Planning and Investment of Ho Chi Minh City for the first time on August 24, 2010 and changed for the 5th time on May 23, 2016. From May 23, 2016, Saigon Forestry Joint Stock Company officially operates under the model of a Joint Stock Company with a registered charter capital of 117,000,000,000 VND.
- On March 9, 2017, Saigon Forestry Joint Stock Company became a public company according to Official Dispatch No. 1222/UBCK-GSĐC of the State Securities Commission.
- On May 11, 2017, Saigon Forestry Joint Stock Company was granted the first securities registration certificate by the Vietnam Securities Depository Center No. 93/2017/GCNCP-VSD dated May 11, 2017 with the stock code FRM.
