Timeline of Establishment & Development
- In 1975, the company's predecessor, Cho Lon Road and Bridge Area, was decided to establish by the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City with the task of new construction; major repairs; Maintain roads, bridges, drainage systems and public lighting within inner-city and suburban districts.
- In 1978, Cho Lon Bridge and Road Area was renamed to Inner City Road and Bridge Company in charge of districts 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, Tan Binh, Phu Nhuan, Binh Chanh and Duyen Hai district, and also managed Thu Thiem ferry terminal.
- In 1981, the City People's Committee issued Decision No. 271/QD-UB to change the name of the Inner City Road and Bridge Company to Traffic Construction Enterprise No. 1, transferring urban drainage work to the Department of Housing and Urban Construction Management.
- In 1992, the City People's Committee issued Decision No. 2081/QD-UB dated August 11, 1992 to establish the Public Works Traffic Works Management Area on the basis of merging the Ferry Bridge Enterprise and Traffic Works Enterprise No. 1. The Public Works Works Management Zone is a non-business unit in charge of maintenance and repair work. Regularly monitor bridges, roads, sidewalks, road painting systems, marker posts, signs in the city and manage 4 ferry terminals: Thu Thiem, Cat Lai, Binh Khanh and Dan Xay.
- In 1997, based on Decision No. 6590/QD-UB-KT dated November 19, 1997 of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, the Public Works Traffic Management Area was transformed into Saigon Traffic Works Management Company with a total State capital of 5,646,002,343 VND (Five billion, six hundred forty-six million, zero hundred and two thousand three hundred forty-three VND).
- In 2010, based on Decision No. 1146/QD-UBND dated March 12, 2010 of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City on approving the Project to convert Saigon Traffic Construction Management Company into Saigon Traffic Construction Company Limited, the Company officially converted to a public model. LLC since August 26, 2010 according to the Business Registration Certificate, with charter capital of 60,300,000,000 VND (Sixty billion three hundred million VND).
- In 2012, Pursuant to Decision No. 1067/QD-UBND dated March 2, 2012 of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City on adjusting the charter capital of Saigon Traffic Construction Company Limited, the Company was allowed to adjust its charter capital to 97,361,500,000 VND (Ninety-seven billion, three hundred sixty-one million, five hundred thousand VND). Before equitization, the Company belonged to the State Financial Investment Company according to Decision No. 4608/QD-UBND dated September 6, 2012 of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City on transferring Saigon Traffic Construction Company Limited to become a member of the State Financial Investment Company of Ho Chi Minh City to pilot the function of representing the owner of state capital.
- On December 10, 2015, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City approved Decision No. 6769/QD-UBND on the plan to equitize state-owned enterprises to convert Saigon Traffic Construction Company Limited under the State Financial Investment Company into a Joint Stock Company.
- On February 1, 2016, Saigon Traffic Construction Company Limited successfully organized the initial public offering auction at the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, with the number of shares auctioned was 13,165,000 shares, the number of winning shares was 13,165,000 shares. 9,434,800 shares, the highest successful bid is 10,100 VND/share, the lowest successful bid is 10,000 VND/share, the average successful bid is 10,000 VND/share.
- On April 14, 2016, the Company successfully organized the General Meeting of Shareholders to establish a Joint Stock Company.
- On May 5, 2016, the Company officially transformed into a Joint Stock Company according to Business Registration Certificate No. 0300460907 issued by the Department of Planning and Investment of Ho Chi Minh City for the first time on August 26, 2010, registered for the 9th change on May 5, 2016, with the Charter capital is 280,000,000,000 VND.
Achievements and titles achieved
- In 1981: The company was awarded the III-class Labor Medal "for many outstanding achievements in implementing State plans contributing to the cause of building socialism & protecting the Fatherland" according to Commendation Order 89/LCT dated May 27, 1981 of the President.
- 1983: Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the Council of Ministers for achievements "in production & work contributing to the cause of building socialism & protecting the Fatherland" according to Decision No. 211/CT-KT dated June 13, 1983.
- In 1984: The company was awarded the Second Class Labor Medal "for many outstanding achievements in implementing the 1984 State plan & other tasks contributing to the cause of building socialism & protecting the Fatherland" according to Decision No. 645/HDNN.7 dated April 26, 1985.
- 1987: Certificate of Merit from the Council of Ministers awarded to "Employees with achievements in production and work, contributing to the cause of building socialism and protecting the Fatherland" according to Decision No. 202/CT-KT dated September 4, 1987. The company was awarded a certificate of merit from the Ministry of Transport for "Employees completed the plan for the first 6 months of 1987" according to Decision No. 1136/QD-TD dated July 8, 1988.
- In 2007: The company was awarded a certificate from the Ministry of Construction for "the unit with outstanding achievements in implementing the campaign to better organize the living and working conditions of workers in the construction industry in 2007" according to Decision No. 453/QD-BXD dated March 31, 2008.
- 2009: Received a certificate of merit from the Prime Minister for outstanding achievements from 2007 to 2009 according to Decision No. 1990/QD-TTg dated November 2, 2010.
- 2010: Received an emulation flag from the City People's Committee for outstanding achievements in completing tasks in 2010 according to Decision No. 1232/QD-UBND, March 15, 2011. Awarded the title of excellent labor collective in 2010 by the City People's Committee according to Decision No. 1233/QD-UBND dated March 15, 2011.
- 2011: Received a Certificate of Merit from the City People's Committee for "outstanding achievements in taking care of and serving the 2011 New Year of the Cat" according to Decision No. 581/QD-UBND dated February 10, 2011. Awarded the title of excellent labor collective in 2011 by the City People's Committee according to Decision No. 1003/QD-UBND dated February 28, 2012.
- 2012: Third-class Labor Medal from the Prime Minister according to Decision No. 1320/QD-CTN dated August 29, 2012. Excellent emulation flag in 2012 from the Ministry of Transport according to Decision No. 71/QD-BGTVT dated January 9, 2013. Certificate of Merit for excellently completing tasks for 2 consecutive years (2011, 2012) according to Decision No. 1604/QDUB dated April 2, 2013. Excellent emulation flag in 2012 of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee according to Decision No. 1601/QDUBND dated April 2, 2013.
