Establishment Timeline development
- Formerly known as the Southern Rubber Board, in April 1975, it was transformed into the General Department of Rubber under the Provisional Revolutionary Government of South Vietnam;
- In July 1977, transferred to Vietnam Rubber Corporation under the Ministry of Agriculture according to Decision No. 216/NNTC dated July 23, 1977;
- In March 1980, it was transformed into the General Department of Rubber under the Council of Ministers according to Decree: 159/ND-CP dated April 14, 1981 of the Council of Ministers with two main functions: State management of the rubber industry and organization of rubber production;
- In 1989, according to Decision No. 32/HDBT dated March 27, 1989 of the Council of Ministers, the General Department of Rubber was transformed into the General Rubber Corporation under the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry;
- In 1995, according to Decision No. 252/TTg dated April 29, 1995 of the Prime Minister, the Vietnam Rubber Corporation was established, a special class State Corporation according to Decision 91/TTg;

The structure of Vietnam Rubber Industry Group includes:
- The parent company - Vietnam Rubber Industry Group (level I enterprise) is an enterprise with 100% charter capital held by the State; was allocated land by the State to unify the management and arrangement of rubber production and business areas for subsidiaries; has the function of making financial investments in other businesses; retain the right to control subsidiaries through management of land fund, capital, technology, brand, and market; Directly doing business and ensuring the implementation of tasks assigned by the State according to the provisions of law.
- Member units of the Parent Company - Group including Level II Enterprises and Level III Enterprises are organized and operate under the form of One Member Limited Liability Company, joint stock companies , joint venture, company two-member LLC up.
