Timeline of Establishment & Development:
- Hau Giang Province Materials Company was established under Decision No. 245/VT-QD dated March 3, 1976 of the Minister of Materials, on the basis of merging 5 units: Can Tho Province Materials Company, Can Tho City Technical Materials Company, Thanh Petroleum Company Can Tho City, Can Tho Provincial Petroleum Company, Soc Trang Provincial Petroleum Company with a total of nearly 500 employees.
- Period 1976 - 1986: Immediately after its establishment, the Company quickly stabilized its organization and implemented its tasks under the direction of the Ministry of Materials and People's Committee of Hau Giang Province. By June 1980, according to the government's policy, the Company transferred the petroleum industry to Hau Giang petroleum depot according to the decision of the Ministry of Materials.
- Period 1987 - 1997: implementing the Party and State's innovation policy The company both received and supplied materials, proactively transformed its business form, sought out domestic and foreign suppliers to sign goods purchase and sale contracts according to the new mechanism
- In 1991: when Hau Giang Province was separated into Soc Trang Province and Can Tho Province, the Company changed its operating name to Can Tho Province Materials Company.
- In 1993: changed name to Hau Giang General Material Company. This is the time when the Company develops more products: gas, gas stoves, gas industry spare parts.
- Year 2003: In April 2003, the enterprise was equitized according to Decision No.: 0024/2003/QD-TM dated January 10, 2003 of the Minister of Trade, the Company transformed into Hau Giang Material Joint Stock Company (Hamaco) and officially Operating under Business Registration Certificate No. 5703000042 dated May 12, 2003 issued by the Department of Planning and Investment of Can Tho City with a charter capital of 12,476,800,000 VND. At the end of 2003, the Company launched the Lubricants business
- Currently, Hau Giang Material Distribution Company operates under Business Registration Certificate No. 1800506679, first registered on May 12, 2003 and registered for the 23rd change on May 23, 2016 by the Department of Planning and Investment of Can Tho City. issued with a charter capital of 62,253,990,000 VND.
