Establishment History
- In 1984, the Provincial People's Committee decided to split the Food Enterprise into 3 enterprises: + Quang Ninh Confectionery Enterprise + Ha Long Tea Factory + Noodle Factory. The mission of the Enterprise at that time was to produce all kinds of confectionery. Previously, during the period of subsidized production and consumption of products according to the plan assigned by the State. The equipment was rudimentary, production was mainly by manual methods, experience, production technology was low and outdated, labor productivity was not high, and at times it was on the verge of bankruptcy. Facing the market mechanism, the Enterprise's products are not strong enough to compete with confectionery imported from China with more beautiful and special designs at cheaper prices. Faced with that situation, the Enterprise's leadership decided to change the product structure.
- July 3, 1986 - The Provincial People's Committee approved the technical and economic justification for the project of a Beer production line with: +Total investment capital: 6,138,500 VND + Design capacity: 1,000,000 liters / year + Design area: 1.5 hectares
- July 1, 1988 - The beer production line was officially opened and put into use. Marking a historical turning point in the transfer of the Enterprise's main production tasks.
- On September 8, 1989, the Provincial People's Committee issued decision No. 497-QD/UB to change the name of Quang Ninh Confectionery Enterprise to Quang Ninh Brewery - NGK with a total number of employees: 252 people. The Factory's mission is to produce draft beer and bottled beer to serve people in the province. In the beginning, due to lack of experience, the product was of low quality, and consumers had many opinions. The market has not yet accepted the presence of the Factory's products. The Factory's Board of Directors and technical staff have used all economic and technical measures to gradually improve product quality to meet market demands. Beer products have become the main product of the establishment .
- By 2003 - Implementing the policy of converting the management model from a State-owned enterprise to a Joint Stock Company. On January 27, 2003, the Company held a Shareholders' Meeting to establish Ha Long Beer & NGK Joint Stock Company. From the first difficult steps. Investment in production and business at a small, asynchronous level progresses to large, synchronous investment many times over. The consumer market is constantly expanding. With the right development and orientation - Ha Long Beer & NGK Joint Stock Company has been awarded by the Party and State for many consecutive years: Third-class Labor Medal in 1987, Second-class Labor Medal in 1994 and many other certificates of merit. Thereby proving the Company's position and position in the market mechanism guided by the State.
