Establishment History:
- Hoang Mai Cement Company, formerly Nghe An Cement Company (under the People's Committee of Nghe An Province) was established under Decision No. 2629/QD.UB dated October 7, 1995 of the People's Committee of Nghe An Province. The company was formed to be the investor of Hoang Mai Cement Project approved by the Prime Minister approved in Decision No. 216/QD-TTg dated April 15, 1996. The cement factory has a capacity of 1.4 million tons of cement/year with a total investment of 238 million USD from capital domestic and foreign loans.
- With the approval of the Government in document No. 954/CP-DMDN dated October 18, 2000, on December 30, 2000, the People's Committee of Nghe An Province and Vietnam Cement Corporation signed the Minutes of Handover of Hoang Mai Cement Company under the People's Committee of Nghe An Province to become a member. Independent accounting officer of Vietnam Cement Corporation.
- From July 1, 2002, after trial production, Hoang Mai Cement Company officially went into operation with a modern cement production line, equipment provided by Western Europe and the G7 bloc
- On March 9, 2007, the Ministry of Construction issued Decision No. 367/QD-BXD on equitizing independent accounting member companies of Vietnam Cement Corporation (now Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation)
- On November 30, 2007, Hoang Mai Cement Company organized the initial public auction of shares at the Hanoi Stock Exchange Center.
- On February 27, 2008, the Board of Directors of Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation issued Decision No. 219/QD-XMVN on adjusting the equitization plan and converting Hoang Mai Cement Company into Hoang Mai Cement Joint Stock Company
- On April 1, 2008, Hoang Mai Cement Joint Stock Company officially went into operation with a charter capital of 720 billion VND, of which State capital accounts for a proportion 70.96% equivalent to 510,918 billion VND.
- On July 9, 2009, Hoang Mai Cement Joint Stock Company officially listed 72,000,000 shares on the stock exchange of the Stock Exchange Hanoi stock exchange with stock code HOM.
- According to the resolution of the 2011 annual general meeting of shareholders that was approved on August 18, 2011 the Company changed its name to Vicem Cement Joint Stock Company Hoang Mai.
