Establishment History and Development :
- Hai Phong Paint Joint Stock Company, formerly known as Oil Paint Chemical Enterprise, was established by the Hai Phong City Administrative Committee on January 25, 1960 in the form of a public-private partnership including: Phu Ha Paint Company and capitalists and small owners gathering assets and equipment to establish the Enterprise. It was one of seven member enterprises of the Hai Phong Department of Industry and Handicrafts at that time.
- In 1989, the Oil Paint Factory changed its name to Hai Phong Paint Factory
- In 1993, Hai Phong Paint Factory was renamed Hai Phong Paint Company according to Decision No. 1938/QD-TCCQ of Hai Phong City People's Committee
- In 1994, the Company borrowed capital from SIDA Organization to invest in an Alkyd plastic production line in the Federal Republic of Germany.
- On December 11, 2002, Hai Phong City People's Committee issued Decision No. 3107/QD-UB on equitizing Hai Phong Paint Company. In 2003, the Company completed the equitization plan, sold shares and established a shareholders' meeting.
- On December 26, 2003, the City People's Committee issued decision No. 3419/QD-UB on converting Hai Phong Paint Company into Hai Phong Paint Joint Stock Company.
- In 2011, the Company deposited and registered for trading 1,163,261 shares on Upcom, bringing the total number of shares of the Company on the stock market to 8,007,177 shares.
- Pursuant to the Establishment General Meeting of Shareholders and Decision 3419/QD-UB of the People's Committee of Hai Phong City, Hai Phong Paint Joint Stock Company officially came into operation on January 2, 2004 according to the Enterprise Law. From 2004 to present, the Company has always developed with a growth rate of 15 - 20%/year. The Company's production and business results next year are higher than the previous year. It can be compared that the average rate of return on capital 3 years before equitization was only 10.19%, but 3 years after equitization it reached 44.7%, budget contributions doubled and employees' income increased 2.3 times compared to before.
