- Formerly known as Tinh Tuc Cao Bang Tin Mine. Since the 1950s, Tinh Tuc Cao Bang Tin Mine has been exploited manually. In 1955, with the help of the Soviet Union, the project was surveyed, designed and built on October 25, 1955. On October 6, 1956, the ribbon was cut to inaugurate the birth of the first child of Vietnam's non-ferrous metallurgical mining industry.
- In 1993, Tinh Tuc Cao Bang Tin Mine changed its name to Cao Bang Nonferrous Metals Company.
- In 1994 - 1995, the Company expanded production and established the Na Lung Cao Bang iron ore mining and processing joint venture enterprise.
- In September 1997, the Ministry of Industry and Trade decided to change the name of the Na Lung Cao Bang Iron Ore Exploitation and Processing Joint Venture Enterprise to Cao Bang Iron Company, and to change the name of Cao Bang Nonferrous Metals Company to Mineral Company I.
- In August 2003, Mineral Company I merged into Cao Bang Iron Company and changed its name to Cao Bang Mineral and Metallurgy Company.
- In July 2006, according to the Government's roadmap, the Ministry of Industry signed a decision to equitize into Cao Bang Minerals and Metallurgy Joint Stock Company.
- July 1, 2006: Cao Bang Minerals and Metallurgy Joint Stock Company officially came into operation in the form of a Joint Stock Company with a charter capital of 42 billion VND
- December 16, 2010: The company was granted the first securities registration certificate by the Vietnam Securities Depository Center with a total number of shares of 8,000,000 shares
- 2012: The company was included in the list of public companies by the State Securities Commission
- November 16, 2015: Company shares were approved for first trading registration on UPCoM with the stock code KCB
- December 1, 2015: The first trading day of KCB on UPCoM with the closing price at the end of the session was 9,400 VND/share
