- Thang Long Metal Company was established in 1969 under the Hanoi Department of Industry. Through nearly 50 years of building and developing production and business, the Company has now become one of the leading companies in Hanoi Industry in the field of manufacturing mechanical and metal consumer goods to serve domestic and export needs.

- In 2006, the Company formed an operating model with departments and 05 factories with specialized functions in each industry field. This model initially operates effectively and has support in production and business to make the most of resources for production.
- On March 26, 2007, Hanoi People's Committee issued Decision No. 1117/QDUB allowing Thang Long Metal State One Member Company Limited to implement equitization and establish an enterprise equitization board.
- Hanoi People's Committee issued Decision No. 4881/QDUBND dated December 4, 2007 and Decision No. 1274/QDUBND dated April 7, 2008 on approving the enterprise value and equitization plan of Thang Long Metallurgy State One Member Company Limited. On September 16, 2008, the People's Committee of Hanoi issued Decision No. 760/QDUBND to convert the state-owned enterprise Thang Long Metal One-member State Limited Company into Thang Long Metal Joint Stock Company; On November 28, 2008, the Company officially converted into a joint stock company according to Business Registration Certificate No. 0100100618 issued by Hanoi Department of Planning and Investment.
- June 28, 2010 Thang Long Metal Joint Stock Company officially became a public company
