Establishment History :
- Licogi 16 Joint Stock Company was formerly a state-owned enterprise under the Infrastructure Construction and Development Corporation (Licogi) established under Decision No. 427/QD – BXD dated March 8, 2001 of the Minister of Construction on the basis of reorganizing the Corporation's Branch Construction and Infrastructure Development in Ho Chi Minh City.
- Since its inception, the Company has focused on attracting and building a team of technical staff and skilled workers, investing in modern machinery and equipment to improve capacity and affirm its position in the market.
- By professionally organizing construction methods, always ensuring progress and quality of works, the Company is currently one of the reputable Contractors and trusted by many Investors.
- With the goal of diversifying industries, the Company is also the Investor of Long Tan Residential Area Project with 4 phases, total area of 240ha in Nhon Trach New City, Dong Nai Province, Ngai Giao Commercial Center Residential Project in Chau Duc District, Ba Ria Vung Tau Province, Office House Project at 24A Phan Dang Luu, Ward 7, Phu Nhuan District, HCM; LICOGI Technical Economics Vocational College project in Nghi Son Thanh Hoa; metallurgical industrial park project in Nghi Son economic zone, Thanh Hoa province; Roller compacted concrete equipment line project at Ban Chat Hydropower Plant.
- Implement the State's policy on converting State-owned Enterprises into Joint Stock Companies. In 2005, the Company carried out equitization work and in 2006, Construction Company No. 16 officially transformed into Licogi 16 Joint Stock Company according to Decision No. 327/QDBXD dated February 28, 2006 and Decision No. 844/QDBXD dated May 31, 2006 of the Minister of Construction. The company officially received the business registration certificate issued by the Department of Planning and Investment of Ho Chi Minh City on June 2, 2006.
- 2008: Licogi16 officially listed its shares at the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange with stock code LCG.
- 2009: LICOGI 16 stock won the prestigious stock brand in 2009 awarded by the Securities Business Association and the State Securities Commission; Established LICOGI 16 Electricity Joint Stock Company with the main business of constructing power line and station projects, civil works, and technical infrastructure; The joint venture contributes capital to establish Phuong Dong Biofuels Co., Ltd. to produce and trade biofuel products and environmentally friendly products.
- 2010: Joint venture contributed capital to establish Phu Hoi Urban Area Co., Ltd. to invest in construction and development of residential areas according to planning; LICOGI 16 stock achieved Prestigious Securities Brand in 2010 awarded by the Securities Business Association and State Securities Commission.
- 2011: Established 12 Construction Trading Company Limited to invest in construction and business of Hiep Thanh Residential Area project and other real estate projects. Established Sieu Thanh Co., Ltd. to invest in construction and business of Nam An apartment projects and other real estate projects.
- 2012: Implemented restructuring work, merged company 16.9 into 16.6 into LI-COGI 166, adjusted the parent company's organizational chart according to the company's core values.
- Year 2013: Directly constructed 2 important items at Formosa Ha Tinh Iron and Steel Factory: Official road and Public drainage in the North area with a total value including VAT of 1,651 billion VND, completed within 18 months from July 2013.
- 2014: Joint venture contributed capital to establish a BOT company to invest in upgrading and renovating Highway 38 connecting Bac Ninh - Hung Yen in the form of BOT. Established Licogi16 Construction Steering Committee in Bac Ninh to carry out construction of National Highway 38. Established Licogi16 Construction Steering Committee in Bao Loc Lam Dong to carry out construction of Lam Dong Hospital II project. Completing land clearance and land clearance work and establishing the Construction Management Board of Hiep Thanh residential area project, District 12, Ho Chi Minh City.
- Year 2015: Established the Construction Steering Committee of Vinh Tan Thermal Power Plant 4. Approved the company's new organizational structure. Reduced shareholding ratio of LICOGI 16 (LCS) from 56.68% to 46.42%
