Establishment History:
- January 12, 1980, the Prime Minister signed a Decision approving the construction of Lam Son Sugar Factory (now Lam Son Sugar Factory I).
- March 31, 1980, the Ministry of Food (now the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) signed Decision No. 488 LTTP/KTCB to establish the Lam Son Sugar Factory Construction Board. Factory construction location in Tho Xuong commune, Tho Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province (now Lam Son town, Tho Xuan, Thanh Hoa province)
- March 14, 1981, the Prime Minister of the Government signed Decision No. 61/TTg to start construction of the factory and put the project on the state-level key list.
- April 28, 1986, the Prime Minister of the Government signed a decision to establish Lam Son Sugar Factory.
- November 2, 1986, Completed the construction of the factory and went into production for the first crop.
- January 8, 1994, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development signed Decision No. 14 NNTCCB to change the name of Lam Son Sugar Factory to Lam Son Sugar Company.
- December 6, 1999, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 1133/QDTTg converting Lam Son Sugar Company into Lam Son Sugar Joint Stock Company.
- January 1, 2000, the Company went into operation in the form of a joint stock company with a charter capital of 150 billion VND. The company began listing with the stock code LSS on the Ho Chi Minh City Exchange on December 21, 2007. Consulting organization: Bao Viet Securities Joint Stock Company. - In 2004, launched the Alcohol Factory No. 2 project with a capacity of 25 million liters/year with a total investment of 163 billion VND in production, after nearly a year of construction and installation.
- On January 9, 2008, LAUCO's LSS stock was officially listed and traded on the HOSE stock exchange according to approval decision No. 182/QD-SGDHCM of the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange.
- On February 8, 2012, the Company completed the construction investment project to increase the capacity of sugar factory No. 2 from 4,000 TNM to 8,000 TNM with advanced technology associated with the 12.5MW power plant, bringing the total capacity of the company to 10,500TMN.
- September 2014 LASUCO converted bonds into shares to increase charter capital from 500 billion to 700 billion VND
