Timeline of Establishment & Development:
1958: Moc Chau Milk was born
April 8, 1958: Moc Chau Military Farm was established with the task of raising dairy cows, providing dairy breeds, producing and processing dairy products, and producing animal feed.
May 8, 1959: Uncle Ho visited Moc Chau Farm
1974 – 1976: A gift from the people of CUBA
President Fidel Castro gave Moc Chau Milk 884 cows and helped build 10 cow farms, 01 calf farm and a number of milking farms.
1983 - 1985: Outstanding development
This was the period of outstanding development of Moc Chau Milk, reaching its peak of 2,800 cows and producing 3,200 tons of milk.
1989 – 1990: Decision to “Cross the barrier”
Moc Chau Milk has applied the policy of contracting dairy cows to each household, which has been successful with many outstanding results, the household contracting model has been replicated, the cow herd has increased sharply in quantity and quality.
2001: Pet Insurance Fund
Moc Chau Milk implements the "Livestock Insurance Fund" to help farmers feel secure in investing in production, increasing the herd of cows and expanding scale.
2003: First UHT ("UHT") milk processing plant
Moc Chau Milk successfully built the first UHT factory in 2003. For the first time, the Company organized the "Miss Dairy Cow" contest in Moc Chau Farm town, Moc Chau district, Son La province. This is an event honoring the dairy farming industry, and is also a traditional festival with the unique cultural beauty of Moc Chau land.
2005: Converted to a Joint Stock Company
Moc Chau Dairy Breeding Joint Stock Company officially operates as a joint stock company according to the Joint Stock Company Business Registration Certificate No. 2403000046 dated by the Department of Planning and Investment of Son La province on December 29, 2004. MCM began converting its management model from a state-owned enterprise to a joint stock company according to Decision No. 3306/QD/BNN-TTCB dated September 28, 2004 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development with a charter capital upon equitization of 7.1 billion VND, of which Vietnam Livestock Corporation (a 100% state-owned enterprise at that time) held 51%.
2010: Number 1 breeding center
In 2010, Moc Chau Milk inaugurated Breeding Center No. 1 with a scale of 500 cows.
2012: Seed Center No. 2
In 2012, Moc Chau Milk inaugurated Breeding Center No. 2 with a scale of 1,000 cows.
2013: Inauguration of the integrated feed mill (TMR)
In 2013, Moc Chau Milk inaugurated the first synthetic animal feed factory in Vietnam to ensure a source of food for cows.
2014: Seed Center #3
In 2014, Moc Chau Milk inaugurated Breeding Center No. 3 with a scale of 500 cows.
2017: Repositioning the brand
In 2017, Moc Chau Milk focused on repositioning the brand to reach the level of a national brand, developing strongly on its long-standing foundation.
Currently MCM is operating under the Joint Stock Company Business Registration Certificate No. 5500154060, registered for the 11th change issued by the Department of Planning and Investment of Son La province on February 28, 2020 with a charter capital of 668 billion VND.
