Establishment History:

• Construction Investment & Construction Joint Stock Company 1, formerly known as Construction Site 1, was established in 1997 under the Waterway Construction Corporation.
• In 2000, the Company was converted into Construction Enterprise 1 according to Decision No. 140/2000 QD-BGTVT dated January 19, 2000 of the Ministry of Transport.
• In 2002 the Company was converted into Construction Company 1 according to Decision No. 2095/QD-BGTVT dated July 5, 2002 of the Ministry of Transport.
• The Board of Directors of the Waterway Construction Corporation has issued a written request and the Minister of Transport issued Decision No. 2268/QD-BGTVT dated August 6, 2003 to convert the state-owned enterprise "Construction Company 1" into "Construction Investment & Construction Joint Stock Company 1" with the English transaction name of “Investment and construction joint stock company no1”, abbreviated as MCO.
• On October 11, 2007, in Resolution No. 04/NQ-ĐHCĐ, the General Meeting of Shareholders approved collecting shareholders' opinions in writing. The Company officially changed its name to MCO Vietnam Joint Stock Company.
• May 24, 2008, at the Company's Annual General Meeting of Shareholders. The Congress unanimously approved the Resolution on bonus shares to increase the Company's charter capital from 36 billion to 41 billion VND.
• May 24, 2008 at the Company's Annual General Meeting of Shareholders. The Congress unanimously approved the Resolution to divide bonus shares to increase the Company's charter capital from 36 billion to 41 billion VND.
• On March 17, 2015, the company officially changed its name to BDC Vietnam Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company.
• The holding rate of state capital (represented by the Waterway Construction Corporation) as of December 31, 2009 is 11.47% of charter capital.

• Construction of domestic and foreign transportation projects (including: bridges, roads, airports, ports, leveling)
• Construction of civil, industrial, irrigation and power lines up to 35KV
• Dredging and excavation of works
• Investment and construction of works: Infrastructure of residential clusters, urban areas, industrial parks, transportation
• Design consulting, material testing, investment consulting, supervision consulting for projects not constructed by the company
• Stone mining and trading; producing and trading construction materials, steel structures, precast concrete structures, asphalt concrete
• Import and export of materials, equipment, goods, tourism, hotel and entertainment services
• Motorcycle repair, construction equipment, mechanical processing
• Real estate business
• Transport of passengers and goods.
• Design and construction of marine structures; Design of irrigation construction works; Design of port and waterway projects; Road design; Design of traffic works (bridges, tunnels); Structural design: for civil and industrial construction projects;
• Vocational training for technical workers: Road and waterway construction machine operators, construction iron workers, construction carpentry, flight attendants for tourism and restaurants (can only operate after permission from a competent state agency);
• Topographic survey of irrigation, traffic and civil works;
• Mining, processing and trading of minerals (except minerals banned by the State).
• Trading in tobacco ingredients and flavors.
