- Song Da Mechanical Installation Joint Stock Company was established under Decision No. 2125/QD-BXD dated November 15, 2005 of the Minister of Construction on converting Song Da Mechanical Installation Company into a joint stock company. Business registration certificate no. 25.03.000087 issued by the Department of Planning and Investment of Hoa Binh province on January 23, 2006; Registration for the first change on February 23, 2006; 2nd change on April 3, 2006; 3rd change on June 15, 2006 and 4th change on November 22, 2006.
- December 14, 2006 was the first trading day of MEC securities listed on the Hanoi Stock Exchange.
- In May 2008, Song Da Mechanical Installation Joint Stock Company was renamed to Someco Song Da Joint Stock Company.
- May 2015 Someco Song Da Joint Stock Company was renamed Song Da Mechanical - Machine Installation Joint Stock Company.
