Timeline of Establishment & Development
- Nghe Tinh Port with a history of 60 years of construction and growth, is a national general port in the region, with production and business activities in a large area, including 2 areas of Cua Lo and Ben Thuy with more than 800m of wharf and many advanced loading and unloading equipment, modern warehouse system and team of professional workers.
- In the early twentieth century, Ben Thuy Port was built by the French with two wharves (Lon wharf and Mango wharf)
- October 13, 1955: Ministry of Transport established Ben Thuy Port, the predecessor of Nghe Tinh Port.
- In 1996, the Ministry of Transport issued Decision 2443/KHDT dated September 16, 1996 to upgrade Cua Lo Port with an investment of 138 billion VND, adding 2 wharves.
- July 6, 2009: Nghe Tinh Port became a member of Vietnam Maritime Corporation.
- September 30, 2009: Vietnam Maritime Corporation issued a Decision to convert Nghe Tinh Port Company into Nghe Tinh Port Company Limited.
- December 31, 2014: Organized an auction to sell shares to the public of Nghe Tinh Port Company Limited at SDGCK Hanoi
- March 21, 2015: The Company successfully organized the first General Meeting of Shareholders of Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company
- April 1, 2015: The company officially operates under the Joint Stock Company model with charter capital of 215,172,000,000 VND
- October 8, 2015: Company shares were approved for first trading registration on UPCoM with stock code NAP
- July 19, 2016 was the first trading day on UPCoM with a reference price of 11,400 VND.
