Establishment History:
- Established in 1968, the predecessor of the Central Plant Seed Joint Stock Company was the Level I Plant Seed Company under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
- In 1978, the Southern Plant Seed Company was merged with the Level I Plant Seed Company to become the Central Plant Seed Company under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The Southern Plant Seed Company became Branch 1 of the Central Plant Seed Company. In 1981, Branch 1 was changed to Plant Seed Enterprise 1. In 1989, Plant Seed Enterprise I was separated into Central Plant Seed Company II, now Southern Seed Joint Stock Company (SSC).
- In 1993, the Central Plant Seed Company was renamed Central Plant Seed Company I.
- On November 10, 2003, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development issued Decision No. 5029/QD/BNN-TCCB converting the Central Plant Seed Company 1 into a joint stock company with the name Central Plant Seed Joint Stock Company.
- The company began listing with the stock code NSC on December 21, 2006 on the Ho Chi Minh City stock exchange. Consulting organization: Bao Viet Securities Joint Stock Company. Independent audit: Saigon financial accounting and auditing consulting company (AFC).
