Establishment Timeline:
- After the complete liberation of the South, to meet the requirements of the country's construction task in the southern provinces, in 1977, the Ministry of Materials established Construction Company III, a state-owned enterprise with the function and task of maintaining and repairing petroleum works taken over by the old regime and building new petroleum warehouses and wharves belonging to the petroleum industry for provinces from Quang Binh to Ca Mau.
- During the 15 years from its founding to 1992, Construction Company III has successfully completed the tasks assigned by the Ministry: Building hundreds of large and small petroleum depots, wharves, and fuel distribution technology systems for regions, provinces, and businesses of all economic sectors in the country and Cambodia.
- In 1993, Construction Company III was re-established as a State enterprise by the Ministry of Trade according to Decree 388 of the Government. Along with the re-establishment, the Company was allowed by the Ministry of Trade and other ministries to add a number of additional functions and tasks, to meet the requirements of product diversification for the market in the open trend. In addition to the specialized petroleum construction function, the Company has the additional function of constructing small and medium-sized industrial, civil, and irrigation works and directly importing and exporting equipment and materials to serve the construction industry.
- Implementing the policy of equitizing state-owned enterprises, on January 1, 2002, Construction Company III officially transformed into a joint stock company with a charter capital of 4.2 billion VND according to Decision No. 0721/QD-BTM dated June 8, 1999 and Decision No. 1239/2001/QD-BTM dated June 8, 1999. November 14, 2001 with the new name Petrolimex Construction Joint Stock Company III.
- From 2002 to present, the Company has constructed a number of typical projects such as:
- Year 2003: fabrication and installation of C22, C23 steel tanks and C warehouse technology - Region II Petroleum Company, worth 10.6 billion VND.
- Year 2005: replaced 30,000 m3 capacity of warehouse A - Nha Be Petroleum Warehouse - Petroleum Company Region II, worth 15.4 billion VND.
- Year 2005: Foundation of tank B15, B18 warehouse B Nha Be - Petroleum Company Region II, worth 10 billion VND.
- Year 2006: construction of tanks at Phu My oil factory - Tuong An Vegetable Oil Joint Stock Company, worth 21 billion VND.
- In 2007: construction of 2 tank foundations A09, A10 - Nha Be Petroleum Warehouse - Region II Petroleum Company, worth 18.4 billion VND.
- In 2008: construction of 2 steel tanks A09, A10 - Nha Be Petroleum Warehouse - Region II Petroleum Company, worth 10.6 billion VND.
- In 2009: Van Phong bonded petroleum warehouse project, worth 680 billion VND.
- Year 2010: Cai Mep petroleum warehouse steel tank of Petec Technical Trading & Investment Company Limited, value: 29.7 billion VND; Steel tank of Vung Tau Petroleum Joint Stock Company, value: 16.5 billion VND.
- 2011: Cat Lai basin foundation - Ho Chi Minh City Petroleum Company Limited, value: 18.6 billion VND; Warehouse tank foundation D - Region II Petroleum Company Limited, value: 66 billion VND.
- Year 2012: steel tank of warehouse D - Region II Petroleum Company Limited, value: 43 billion VND.
- 2013: petroleum project of port warehouse cluster 186 - Department of Petroleum, value: 24.5 billion VND.
