The predecessor of Hanoi Battery Joint Stock Company was Van Dien Battery Factory, established in early 1960. This was the first and only factory in the North at that time to produce and supply batteries to serve national defense, security and other purposes of the national economy. With an initial capacity design of 5 million batteries/year, mainly producing R20 and R40 batteries.
Important development milestones of the Company:
- 1960: Van Dien Battery Factory began construction
- September 1983: Changed name to Hanoi Battery Factory
- December 1989: Changed name to Hanoi Battery Union Enterprise
- January 1996: Changed name to Hanoi Battery Company
- January 2004: Hanoi Battery Joint Stock Company was established under Business Registration Certificate No.: Business License No. 103003444 issued by the Department of Planning and Investment on January 2, 2004
with an initial charter capital of 14 billion VND.
- October 2008: Increased charter capital from 14 billion to 19 billion 740 million by paying dividends in shares and becoming a public company.
- November 2010: Strategic cooperation signing ceremony between Hanoi Battery Joint Stock Company and GP International Battery Group. GP Batteries Group is officially the company's major shareholder through GP Batteries International Ltd.
- March 2011: Increased charter capital from 19 billion 740 million to 34 billion 545 million by issuing shares to existing shareholders and strategic shareholders. Established a subsidiary, Hanoi Battery Company Limited (Hanoi Battery Joint Stock Company contributes 100% capital) at N3, zone C, Hoa Mac Industrial Park, Hoa Mac Town, Duy Tien District, Ha Nam Province.
- November 2011: After the capital contribution of GP Batteries International Ltd. belongs to GP International Battery Group as a strategic shareholder (holding 30% of shares). The company has access to the large export market of GP International Battery Group. Currently, export revenue to the Indian and Brazilian markets accounts for about 30% of the Company's total revenue
- 2012: Rabbit Battery products were continuously awarded Gold Medals at the Vietnam International Industrial Goods Exhibition; Rabbit Battery products are approved by the Consumer Protection Association
voted in the top 100 reputable and quality products;
- 2013: Rabbit Battery product won the title of High Quality Vietnamese Goods.
- October 2015: Increased charter capital from 34,545,000,000 to 51,814,430,000 VND. Divide bonus shares to existing shareholders.
- October 2016: Shares of Hanoi Battery Joint Stock Company were approved for depository at the Vietnam Securities Depository Center.
- December 2017: Increase charter capital from 51,814,430,000 VND to 72,539,110,000 VND Divide bonus shares to existing shareholders.
