Establishment History:

The Company's predecessor was the River Petroleum Transportation Enterprise, established from the merger of Binh Chanh Ship Repair Enterprise and the river petroleum transportation division of the Petroleum Transportation Company (VITACO), Vietnam Petroleum Corporation. The main business lines are shipbuilding and ship repair and river transportation of petroleum
Implementing the policy of equitizing state-owned enterprises, in 1999 the River Petroleum Transport Enterprise was transformed into Petrolimex Waterway Petroleum Transport Joint Stock Company according to Decision No. 151/1999/QD - TTG of the Prime Minister. The company is a member of the Vietnam Petroleum Group, operating with an initial charter capital of 13.5 billion VND, of which the Vietnam Petroleum Group contributes 30%, the rest comes from shareholders in the company and other shareholders in units within the same group.
In 1999, when the Company was established, the charter capital was 13.5 billion VND. This level of capital does not meet the company's operating needs, causing many difficulties for the company's development.
In 2003, the company increased its charter capital to 14,596 billion VND, Vietnam Petroleum Corporation accounted for 35% of the charter capital.
In 2004, the company's charter capital was 19,370 billion VND, Vietnam Petroleum Corporation accounted for 51.21% of the charter capital.
In 2006, the Company's charter capital increased to 35 billion VND, Vietnam Petroleum Corporation accounted for 51.21% of the charter capital.
On December 28, 2006, the Company's shares (PJT) were listed at the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange.
In 2008, the Company's charter capital increased to 70 billion VND, Vietnam Petroleum Corporation accounted for 51.21% of the charter capital.
In 2009, the Company's charter capital increased to 84 billion VND, Vietnam Petroleum Corporation (In 2012, Vietnam Petroleum Group) accounted for 51.21% of the charter capital.
The company began listing with the code PJT on December 28, 2006 on the Ho Chi Minh City stock exchange.
Year 2013: In 2013, the Company's charter capital was 96,599,020,000 VND, of which Vietnam Petroleum Group transferred the management rights of State capital to the Transport Corporation Petrolimex (Vietnam Construction Group), Petrolimex Water Transport Corporation became the controlling shareholder with a share ownership ratio of 51.21% of charter capital.
