Lich suseformation:
- Petroleum Mechanical Joint Stock Company's predecessor was Thong Nhat 5 Mechanical Workshop, under the Ministry of Materials, was established on October 22, 1975, on the basis of nationalizing 2 Binh Loi Company and SEMI Industrial Exploitation Company (France).
- January 30, 1988, according to decision 02/VT-QD of the Ministry of Materials Tu. The factory changed its name to 11/23 Mechanical Enterprise and became a unit under Region II Petroleum Company.
- On February 17, 1992, the Enterprise changed its name to Petroleum Mechanical Enterprise according to Decision No. 111/TMDL/QD of the Minister of Trade and Tourism. The enterprise became a unit under Vietnam Petroleum Corporation.
- On November 21, 1997, according to decision No. 1169/TM/TCCB of the Ministry of Trade, the name of Petroleum Mechanical Enterprise was changed to Petroleum Mechanical Company. The company installed and put into operation a production line for 18 to 25 liter barrels, capacity of 1,200,000 barrels/year with advanced Italian technology.
- May 31, 1999 according to Decision No. 132/1999-QD/TT of the Prime Minister, converting Petroleum Mechanical Company into Petroleum Mechanical Joint Stock Company and Vietnam Petroleum Corporation becoming a shareholder holding 35% of charter capital.
- On December 31, 1999, the Company completed the ISO 9002 Quality Management System and certified by QMS organization.
- On October 28, 2003, the Company's shares were licensed to list and trade in China. Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange Center is now the City Stock Exchange. Ho Chi Minh City according to Decision No. 18/QD/TTGDCKHCM-NY.
- In 2004, the Company switched to applying the ISO 9001 quality management system version 2000.
- The company started listing with the code PMS on November 4, 2003 on the Ho Chi Minh City stock exchange Minh. Consulting organization: ACB Securities Company Limited (ACBS). Independent audit: accounting and auditing financial consulting company (AASC) - Ho Chi Minh City branch.
- On May 26, 2009, the Company's listed shares moved from Ho Chi Minh City stock exchange to Hanoi stock exchange.
- On December 19, 2011, the Company officially listed an additional 2,027,662 shares on the Hanoi Stock Exchange, increasing the charter capital to 72,276,620,000 VND.
