- Southwest PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Company Limited, formerly a trading station in Can Tho, was established under Decision No. 288/QD-TCHC dated July 8, 2004 of the Deputy Director in charge of PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Company. During the development process and to meet the needs of the market, the Fertilizer and Petrochemical Company Petrochemicals was renamed to PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Joint Stock Company, the transaction station changed its operating model to a Branch of PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Joint Stock Company in Can Tho according to Decision No. 077/QD-HĐQT of the Board of Directors of PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Joint Stock Company signed on January 14, 2005.
- December 27, 2007 Branch of PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Joint Stock Company converted into Fertilizer Trading Enterprise in the Southwest region according to Decision No. 80/QD- HĐQT of PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Joint Stock Company.
- On August 7, 2008, Southwest Petrochemical and Fertilizer Company Limited was established under Decision No. 114/QD-HĐQT of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemical Corporation - Joint Stock Company, on the basis of conversion from Southwest Fertilizer Trading Enterprise. Ministry.
- The company was first granted a Business Registration Certificate by the Department of Planning and Investment of Can Tho City on August 15, 2008 and officially operated on September 1, 2008 in the form of a Single Member Limited Liability Company.

- The company has officially operated into a Joint Stock Company model under Business Registration Certificate No. 1800722461 issued by the Department of Planning and Investment of Can Tho City on December 31, 2010 with a charter capital of 170,000,000,000 VND.
- On March 25, 2014, Southwest Petroleum Fertilizer and Chemical Joint Stock Company was granted a securities registration certificate by the Vietnam Securities Depository Center.
- On June 30, 2015, the company was approved for listing by the Hanoi Stock Exchange.
- On July 21, 2015, the Company officially opened its first trading session with the stock code PSW.
