Vietnam Petroleum Pipe Coating Joint Stock Company (formerly known as Gas Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company) was established on July 11, 2007 according to resolution No. 4041/NQ-DKVN of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group with the capital contribution of 13 people. The founding shareholders are Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN), Petroleum Technical Services Joint Stock Corporation (PTSC) and Vietnam Urban and Industrial Park Development Investment Corporation (IDICO)
April 2013 Gas Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company changed its name to Vietnam Petroleum Pipe Coating Joint Stock Company and was granted permission by the Department of Planning and Investment of Ba Ria Vung Tau Province
Business registration certificate changed for the 4th time, dated April 23, 2013 with charter capital 215,999,980,000 VND. Currently the company is a unit under Vietnam Gas Corporation (PVGas).
On May 29, 2014, the Department of Planning and Investment of Ba Ria Vung Tau province issued the 16th changed business registration certificate.
