Timeline of Establishment & Development:
- In order to implement the Party and Government's policy of developing the oil and gas rig manufacturing industry in Vietnam, on July 9, 2007, Petroleum Rig Manufacturing Joint Stock Company (PVShipyard) was established and officially put into operation according to Business Registration Certificate No. 4903000395 issued by the Department of Planning and Investment of Ba Ria Vung Tau province on July 9, 2007 with main shareholders such as Vietnam Petroleum Technical Services Joint Stock Corporation (PTSC), Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (SBIC), Vietnam Machinery Erection Corporation (Lilama), Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), Vietsopetro Joint Venture, with an initial capital of 400 billion VND.
- After more than nine years of operation and development, PV Shipyard's charter capital has increased to 594,897,870,000 VND. The company has created a synchronous system of facilities to serve the fabrication and construction of new types of jack-up drilling rigs on an area of 39.8 hectares in the Sao Mai - Ben Dinh area, City. Vung Tau, including a number of essential items such as central technology yard, onshore rig manufacturing yard, slipway, general installation yard, wharf, main office building, factories, warehouses, synchronous equipment (cranes, forklifts...) with an investment cost of nearly 1,900 billion VND. This facility system is capable of meeting the manufacturing capacity of 03-04 jack-up drilling rigs at the same time.
