Establishment History:
- Bourbon Tay Ninh Sugar Joint Stock Company (SBT), formerly a joint venture between Group Sucrecriries Bourbon (G.B) and Sugar Union II (LHMD II) and Tay Ninh Sugar Union (LHMDTTN), was established under the Certificate of Investment License No. 1316/GP dated July 15, 1995 issued by the Ministry of Planning and Investment. The Company's total initial investment capital is 95 million USD and the registered legal capital is 28.5 million USD. Of which GB owns 70% of charter capital, LHMDII owns 15% and LHMDTTN owns 15%.
- In March 1999, Sugarcane Corporation II transferred all of its legal capital contribution to Bourbon Group according to the adjusted Investment License No. 1316/GPDC2 of the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
- In May 2000, Tay Ninh Sugarcane Union transferred its capital contribution to Bourbon Group. SBT was officially converted into an enterprise with 100% foreign capital according to the adjusted Investment License No. 1316A/GP of the Minister of Planning and Investment.
- In February 2001, SBT adjusted to increase investment capital for the second time to 113 million USD and legal capital to 112.189 million USD according to the adjusted investment license No. 1316A/GPDC1 of the Minister of Planning and Investment after Bourbon Group bought back foreign debt and capitalized all of this debt.
- In December 2005, SBT was approved by the Ministry of Planning and Investment to adjust the corporate income tax (CIT) rate to 10% for the life of the project, exempting CIT for 4 years from the first profitable year (2004). and reduced by 50% in the next 4 years and abolished regulations on tax on transferring profits abroad according to Adjustment License No. 1316A/GPĐC2.
- In March 2007, SBT was licensed by the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province to convert its business form into a Joint Stock Company according to Investment Certificate No. 451033000014 dated March 23, 2007 with capital charter is 1,419 billion VND based on the capital contribution of the LLC after handling all accumulated losses up to December 31, 2006.
