Establishment History and Development
- In 1978, the Seafood Import-Export Company was established, the predecessor of SEAPRọDEX, with the economic task of unifying the focal points, focusing forces to promote seafood exports in the context of the seafood industry operating under an administrative mechanism. main subsidy.
- Over 36 years of development, SEAPRODEX changed its operating model through each period of national innovation. In 2001, the Corporation transformed the model of "parent company - subsidiary" according to Decision No. 243QD/2003/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister.
- In 2010, the Corporation was officially renamed Vietnam Seafood Corporation - One Member Limited Liability Company (SEAPRODEX)
- On March 14, 2011, Vietnam Seafood Corporation was re-established under Decision No. 456/QD-BNN-DMDN of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on the basis of merging 03 seafood industry corporations, namely Vietnam Seafood Corporation - One Member Limited Liability Company; Ha Long Seafood Corporation - One Member Limited Liability Company and Bien Dong Seafood Corporation - One Member Limited Liability Company operate according to the model of Parent Company - Subsidiary Company with the parent company being a one member limited liability company with 100% charter capital owned by the State.
- SEAPRODEX is the first Vietnamese company to register a trademark with the World Organization on Intellectual Property Rights OMPI - Geneva (Switzerland). Currently, the SEAPRODEX brand has been registered for protection in the EU, US, and Asia and has become a symbol of quality for Vietnamese seafood products.
