Establishment History:
- SAFI Transport Agency Joint Stock Company, formerly a state-owned enterprise, a member company of Vietnam Shipping Agency (VOSA) under Vietnam National Shipping Lines Corporation (VINALINES), was equitized according to Decision No. 1247/1998/QDBGTVT dated May 25, 2019. 1998 of the Ministry of Transport and registered business activities under license No. 063595 dated August 31, 1998 issued by the Department of Planning and Investment of Ho Chi Minh City.
- SAFI Transport Agency Company has Establishment History and development for nearly 15 years in the Maritime industry and multimodal transport services. Officially operated since November 2, 1992 according to Establishment Decision No. 05/TCCB dated October 20, 1992 of the Director of Vietnam Maritime Administration with the main functions of ship brokerage and agency, air and sea transportation agency, customs clearance and freight forwarding services for import and export goods, headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City.
- In May 1998, the Company was equitized according to Decision 1247/1998/QD BGTVT of the Ministry of Transport and changed its name to SAFI Transport Agency Joint Stock Company with an initial charter capital of 5,692,504,027 VND. After more than a year of equitization, SAFI achieved encouraging achievements with the active contributions of the Hanoi branch and the professional departments of SAFI Saigon and the newly established branch in Vung Tau. In addition, the joint venture COSFI with its partner, the Chinese shipping company COSCO, established in November 1998, also achieved business results with high profit rates.
- The company began listing with the code SFI on December 29, 2006 on the Ho Chi Minh City stock exchange. Consulting organization: Vietnam Bank for Foreign Trade Securities Company (VCBS).
