Formation history:
- On May 17, 1989, Saigon Pesticide Factory under the Ho Chi Minh City Plant Protection Department was established under Decision No. 369/NN/QD of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
- On February 18, 1993, implementing Decision No. 68/QD-UB of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, according to regulation 388/CP of the Government, Saigon Pesticide Factory was transformed into Saigon Pesticide Factory. The enterprise began operating as an independent accounting economic unit, with legal status and separated from the Ho Chi Minh City Plant Protection Department.
- On April 22, 1994, according to Decision No. 1177/QD-UB-NC of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Saigon Pesticide Factory officially became Saigon Pesticide Company. In 1997, Saigon Pesticide Company became a member unit of Saigon Agriculture Corporation.
- Up to June 30, 2004, according to Decision No. 3131/QD-UB of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee. Saigon Pesticide Company changed its name to: Saigon Plant Protection One Member Company Limited.
- Pursuant to Decision No. 5698/QD-UBND dated December 27, 2007 and 3658/QD-UBND dated August 25, 2009 of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City on approving the plan and converting Saigon Plant Protection One Member Company Limited into Saigon Plant Protection Joint Stock Company.
- On June 9, 2008, the first Shareholders' Meeting of Saigon Plant Protection Joint Stock Company was held to approve the charter of organization and operation, elect the Board of Directors, Supervisory Board and approve the Company's 3-year business plan. SPC officially operates under a new model from June 14, 2008 based on business registration certificate No. 4103010609 issued by the Department of Planning and Investment of Ho Chi Minh City on June 14, 2008.
- Implementing the resolution of the General Meeting of Shareholders dated April 28, 2010 on changing the title of Director, the Company has completed the above change procedures according to regulations and has been re-issued business registration certificate No. 0300632232 dated June 28, 2010 by the Department of Planning and Investment of Ho Chi Minh City.
- Implementing state regulations on coding business lines, on October 28, 2014, the Company was re-issued business registration certificate number: 0300632232 by the Department of Planning and Investment of Ho Chi Minh City, which encoded the entire business lines of the Company.
- Implementing the resolution of the General Meeting of Shareholders dated June 25, 2012 on adjusting business lines, the Company has completed the above change procedures according to regulations and has been re-issued business registration certificate number: 0300632232 on August 20, 2012 by the Department of Planning and Investment of Ho Chi Minh City.
