January 11, 2002 Seafood Specialty Joint Stock Company - SEASPIMEX VIETNAM was officially established, this is the first unit (State-owned enterprise) of Vietnam Seafood Corporation to be selected to be equitized with State capital only accounting for 18%.
In 2008, implementing the relocation policy of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee relocated the factory at 213 Hoa Binh, Hoa Thanh ward, to B23/63 Hoang Phan Thai, Binh Chanh commune, Binh Chanh district, Ho Chi Minh City. The new factory has an investment scale of 220 billion VND (as of 2008), capacity of 15,000 tons of products/year with more than 1,000 workers.
