Establishment History:
Established on September 27, 1993 with an initial capital of 20 billion VND, after 18 years of operation, up to now Techcombank has become one of the leading joint stock commercial banks in Vietnam with total assets reaching over 180,874 billion VND (as of the end of the year). 2011).
Techcombank has a strategic shareholder, HSBC bank, with a 20% stake. With a network of more than 300 branches and transaction offices in 44 provinces and cities nationwide, it is expected that by the end of 2012, Techcombank will continue to expand, bringing the total number of branches and transaction offices to over 360 locations nationwide. Techcombank is also the first and only bank to be awarded the title of Leading Bank in technology solutions and applications by Financial Insights. - Established Techcombank Ho Chi Minh Branch, starting the rapid development process of Techcombank in major cities.
1996
- Established Techcombank Thang Long Branch with Nguyen Chi Thanh Transaction Office in Hanoi.

- Established Chuong Duong Branch and Hoan Kiem Branch in Hanoi.
- Established Hai Phong Branch in Hai Phong.
- Established Thanh Khe Branch in Da Nang.
- Established Tan Binh Branch in Ho Chi Minh City.
- Is a Joint Stock Bank with the widest transaction network in the capital Hanoi. The network includes Head Office and 8 Branches and 4 Transaction Offices in major cities throughout the country.
- Increased charter capital to 104.435 billion VND.
- Preparing to issue new shares to increase Techcombank's charter capital to 202 billion VND.
2003
- Officially issued the payment card F@stAccess-Connect 24 (in cooperation with Vietcombank) on December 5, 2003.
- Successfully deployed Globus software system throughout the system on December 16, 2003. Proceed to build a new symbol for the bank.
- Put Techcombank Cho Lon branch into operation.

- Total assets reached nearly 2.5 billion USD
- Became the bank with the second largest transaction network in the joint stock commercial banking sector with nearly 130 branches and transaction offices at the end of 2007.
- HSBC increased its capital contribution to 15% and directly and actively supported Techcombank's operations.
- Profound structural change with the formation of the corporate customer service division, the establishment of the Credit Management and Risk Management Division, and the completion of the structure of the Banking and Personal Financial Services Division.
