- Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel Joint Stock Company (TISCO), the cradle of Vietnam's metallurgical industry, formerly known as Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel Company, was established in 1959, and is the first and only industrial park in Vietnam with a closed integrated production line from iron ore exploitation to iron and steel billet production and steel rolling. On November 29, 1963, the Company's first batch of cast iron was released, marking an important milestone in the country's construction and development.

- On September 29, 2007, Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel Joint Stock Company started implementing the phase 2 production expansion project, marking an important new development milestone. The project with a total investment of nearly 4,000 billion VND aims to increase the production capacity of steel billet and rolled steel from domestic raw materials to 1,000,000 tons/year by 2009, meeting market demand and making the Company one of the steel manufacturers with scale, advanced technology and equipment in the region and the world, ensuring the Company's rapid and sustainable development in the process of international economic integration. economic.
