Establishment History:
  • May 2008: Tien Phong Commercial Joint Stock Bank (TienPhong Bank) received the Establishment License from the State Bank of Vietnam and with continuous efforts since it was a project, TienPhongBank has completed the implementation of the Flex-cube core banking system.
  • June 2008: One month after being licensed, TienPhongBank officially opened its operations. To expand cooperative relations, TienPhongBank has signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) and a joint cooperation framework with Citi Group Bank.
  • August 2008: TienPhongBank opened TienPhongBank Hanoi branch, and officially joined the largest payment network alliance in Vietnam - SmartLink. Launched the MiniBank 24/7 automatic banking system.
  • September 2008: TienPhongBank officially registered with the SSC to operate as a public company.
  • October 2008: TienPhongBank opened TienPhongBank - City Branch. HCM and launched Internet Banking service for individual and business customers.
  • December 2008: After more than five months of operation, TienPhongBank received ISO 9001: 2000 certification for all activities, products and services of TienPhongBank. This is an important milestone contributing to promoting comprehensive governance and management activities according to international management standards for banking activities.
  • 2009: After one year of operation, the first General Meeting of Shareholders of TienPhongBank was held in March 2009 with the adoption of important reports and resolutions that are the development orientation for TienPhongBank in 2009 and the following years. This year, TPBank opened branches in Can Tho, Hai Phong, and Da Nang.
  • Year 2010: TienPhongBank held the second General Meeting of Shareholders in March 2010 and in this year, TienPhongBank was officially connected with the system of 1,100 ATMs of Dong A Bank (part of the VNBC card alliance). With this connection, in addition to making transactions at all ATMs of banks in the Smartlink and Banknet card alliances, TienPhong Bank ATM cardholders can make additional transactions at 1,100 ATMs of Dong A Bank.
  • In July 2010, TienPhongBank received the Award for Standard Rate in International Payments in 2009 from Wells Fargo Bank (USA).
  • In August 2010, TienPhongBank increased its charter capital to 2,000 billion VND. And in 2010, the Bank opened TienPhongBank - Transaction Office in Hanoi and Saigon Branch.
  • 2011: Organized the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders in August 2011 and the third General Meeting of Shareholders in April 2011. At the same time, in 2011, TienPhongBank also opened branches in Dong Nai, An Giang, Kham Thien Savings Fund and Nguyen Trai Savings Fund.
  • 2012: Organized the General Meeting of Shareholders in April 2012 and opened Le Ngoc Han, Phu Xuyen, Dinh Tien Hoang Transaction Offices. In November 2012, TienPhongBank won the 2013 "Trust and Use" Award for Electronic Banking Services voted by readers of Vietnam Economic Times - Consumption & Consumption Consulting Magazine.
  • 2013: The bank officially joined the gold market in January 2013; won the "Vietnam Strong Brand 2012" award in March 2013; Organize the 3rd General Meeting of Shareholders in April 2013; launched technology solutions eCounter - eGold and Multi-Utility Consumer Card - smart technology solutions for the first time in Vietnam in July 2013; won the "Outstanding Innovative Bank" award in 2013 in November 2013; Launched a new brand identity with the abbreviation TPBank and received a certificate of merit from the Prime Minister for outstanding achievements in restructuring in December 2013.   • 2014: TPBank became the first bank in the country to launch eBank version based on HTML5 technology with the feature of unifying both Mobile Banking and Internet Banking versions in September 2014 and in December 2014, TPBank opened a new headquarters at 57 Ly Thuong Kiet, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi. At the same time, in 2015, the Bank opened many branches nationwide.
  • 2015: In this year, TPBank promoted opening in many locations nationwide.
  • 2016: TPBank launched Ebank v.7.0 version - freedom to personalize & Ebank Biz - HTML5 for businesses in June 2016 and launched TPBank World MasterCard credit card in August 2016. The bank has also put into operation more than 10 new transaction points throughout the country as approved by the State Bank of Vietnam.
