1. Establishment History:
- In 1976, Hau Giang Agricultural Materials Company was established by the People's Committee of Hau Giang province with the main task of receiving agricultural materials according to the quotas granted by the State Planning Committee to provide district-level agricultural materials companies.
- On the basis of Hau Giang Agricultural Materials Company, on April 23, 1986, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hau Giang province issued Decision No. 12 on the establishment of Hau Giang Agricultural Technical Materials Company to perform the following tasks: supplying materials and seeds to the district according to the economic contract between the province and district; Regularly monitor and grasp the situation of pests and diseases, promptly have plans and directions for prevention and dissemination for the district, research and help the district apply scientific and technical achievements in agriculture, organize business direction for affiliated units, and organize the implementation of plan targets assigned by superiors.
- When registering to re-establish a state-owned enterprise under Decree No. 388HDBT dated November 20, 1991 of the Council of Ministers (now the Government), Can Tho Agricultural Technical Materials Company was established under Notice No. 177/HDBT/TB dated October 10, 1992 of the Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry (now the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) and Decision No. 1105/QDUBT92 dated October 31, 1992 of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho city.
- Can Tho Agricultural Technical Materials Joint Stock Company was established under Decision No. 2500/QDCT.UB dated July 25, 2003 of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho province on converting the state-owned enterprise Can Tho Agricultural Technical Materials Company into Can Tho Agricultural Technical Materials Joint Stock Company (form of equitization: retaining capital).
