Establishment History:
- Viet Thang Corporation is a member unit of the Vietnam Textile and Garment Group, built in 1960 and put into operation in 1962, contributed capital by a number of domestic and foreign capitalists under the name Viet My Textile Technology Company (VIMYTEX), specializing in producing yarn - weaving and finishing dyeing.
- In May 1975, the Company was taken over by the state, nationalized and assigned to the Ministry of Light Industry to receive, manage and maintain VIMYTEX's production activities. During its operation, the Company has reorganized production many times under many different types and names such as: Viet Thang Textile Factory, Viet Thang Textile Complex Factory, Viet Thang Textile Company, Viet Thang Textile One Member State Limited Company.
- In March 2007, Viet Thang Textile Joint Stock Company (52.3% state capital) was established under Decision No. 3241/QD-BCN dated November 14, 2006 of the Ministry of Industry after being transformed from Viet Thang Textile One Member State Limited Company, registration number business number 4104000147 issued by the Department of Planning and Investment on December 16, 2005.
- On June 29, 2009, Viet Thang Textile Joint Stock Company was converted into Viet Thang Corporation - Joint Stock Company, operating according to the parent company and subsidiary model. This transformation has created a closer connection between the Corporation and its Subsidiaries and Associate Companies; to help companies in the same system have better business results and sustainable development.
