Thanh Tri Urban Environment Joint Stock Company was established under Decision No. 1144/QD-UB dated March 30, 1996 of the People's Committee of Hanoi City, is a revenue-generating administrative unit under the People's Committee of Thanh Tri district, performing two main tasks: "(1) Ensuring environmental hygiene in Thanh Tri district and participating in the socialization of environmental sanitation in 03 wards Hoang Liet - Dai Kim - Dinh Cong of Hoang Mai district; 2) Producing and supplying clean water to the people of Van Dien town, Tu Hiep commune, Vinh Quynh commune and agencies located in the area". In addition to the above tasks, the Company was assigned additional tasks such as: Managing and maintaining lighting, taking care of trees and maintaining and repairing inter-commune roads in the district. Implementing the Prime Minister's policy in Official Dispatch No. 2252/TTg-DMDN dated December 29, 2012 on approving the Plan to arrange and innovate 100% state-owned enterprises under the People's Committee of Hanoi, Thanh Tri Urban Environment Enterprise merged with Hanoi Urban Environment Company Limited, into a branch of Thanh Tri District Urban Environment Enterprise. In May 2016, only the Enterprise Branch conducted a Shareholders' Meeting to establish Thanh Tri Urban Environment Joint Stock Company according to Decision No. 2787/QDUBND dated June 1, 2016 of Hanoi People's Committee on transferring the Thanh Tri District Urban Environment Enterprise Branch of Hanoi Urban Environment Company Limited into Thanh Tri Urban Environment Joint Stock Company. After 29 years of construction and development, Thanh Tri Urban Environment Joint Stock Company now has a team of more than 300 employees including indirect and direct workers with a young average age.
