Viet Bac Geological Company Limited - Vinacomin was established under Decision No. 2325/QD-HDTV dated September 28, 2010 of the Board of Members of Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industry Group on an organizational basis VVMI Exploration, Survey and Design Enterprise; Mineral Exploration and Mining Company 109 - TKV and Drilling and Mining Technical Services Joint Stock Company;
On November 19, 2014, Viet Bac Geology One Member LLC - Vinacomin was renamed Viet Bac Geology One Member LLC - TKV;
On October 30, 2015, Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industry Group issued Decision No. 2196/QD-TKV approving the equitization plan and converting Viet Bac Geological Company Limited - TKV into a joint stock company;
On December 7, 2015, at the Hanoi Stock Exchange, an initial public offering (IPO) auction of Viet Bac Geological Company Limited - TKV was held, with an average successful auction price of 10,000 VND/share;
On February 3, 2016, the Company was granted a Joint Stock Company Business Registration Certificate No. 0104944595 by the Department of Planning and Investment of Hanoi City with a charter capital of 86,000,000,000 VND (Eighty-six billion VND);
Viet Bac Geological Joint Stock Company - TKV officially operates as a joint stock company since February 3, 2016, inheriting the rights, obligations and responsibilities of members of Viet Bac Geological Company Limited - TKV according to the provisions of law.
