Established history:
- The company was established in 1970 with the original name "Xuan Hoa Construction Company". On March 17, 1984, Decision No. 342 QD/BXD-TCCB merged Construction Company No. 20 and Vinh Phu Housing Construction Complex (Dao Tu Large Slab Concrete Factory) and changed its name to Large Slab Housing Construction Complex No. 2.
- In December 1989, the Ministry of Construction decided to change the name of the Joint Construction Enterprise No. 2 to the Joint Construction Enterprise No. 2, a class 1 enterprise directly under the Ministry of Construction.
- Implement Decision No. 90/TTg of the Prime Minister on continuing to reorganize State-owned enterprises. On April 15, 1995, the Minister of Construction issued Decision No. 275/BXD-TCLD on transferring Construction Enterprise No. 2 directly under Vietnam Construction Import-Export Corporation.
- On June 9, 1995, the Minister of Construction issued Decision No. 618/BXD-TCLD on changing the name of Construction Enterprise No. 2 under Vietnam Construction Import-Export Corporation to Construction Company No. 2 including 3 enterprises and 3 branches in the provinces of Cao Bang, Son La, Lao Cai.
- On September 29, 2003, the Ministry of Construction issued Decision No. 1284/QD-BXD converting the Company to operate under the Joint Stock Company model with the name Construction Joint Stock Company No. 2.
- On October 27, 2003, the Company officially went into operation in the form of a Joint Stock Company according to the business registration certificate No. 0103003086 issued by the Department of Planning and Investment of Hanoi City, the registered charter capital is 10,000,000,000 VND, of which the proportion of State capital is 51%.
- On August 20, 2005, the General Meeting of Shareholders met to agree on a plan to increase charter capital from 10,000,000,000 VND to 20,000,000,000 VND. On November 2, 2005, the Company's Board of Directors officially issued Resolution No. 52/HĐQT agreeing to increase charter capital to 20 billion VND.
- According to the Audit Report on the report on stock issuance to increase charter capital of A&C Auditing and Consulting Joint Stock Company, as of October 17, 2006, the charter capital of Construction Joint Stock Company No. 1 issued by Hanoi Department of Planning and Investment on November 28, 2005.
- On December 11, 2006, the Company's shares (VC2) were officially traded on the Hanoi Stock Exchange.
- On June 26, 2007, the State Securities Commission issued a certificate of offering 1,205,000 shares of the Company to the public, increasing charter capital from 20 billion VND to 32.05 billion VND.
- On November 16, 2007, the Company issued 1,795,000 additional shares to increase charter capital from 32,050,000,000 VND to 50,000,000,000 VND and paid 2007 dividends in shares at the rate of 17.5% of par value. Thereby, the Company's charter capital increased from 32,050,000,000 VND to 58,739,650,000 VND.
- In 2009, the Company increased its charter capital from 58.7 billion to 78.3 billion VND through the form of paying shares and paying 2009 dividends of 18% of par value.
- In 2010, the Company increased its charter capital from 78.3 billion VND to 80 billion VND through a private placement for key employees of the Company
- In 2012, the Company increased its charter capital from 80 billion VND to 120 billion VND through issuance to existing shareholders.
- Construction of civil and industrial works, road traffic at all levels, bridges and culverts, irrigation, post offices, foundations, infrastructure works urban floors and industrial parks, transmission lines, electrical transformer stations up to 110 KV; Construction of foundation leveling, weak soil treatment: water supply and drainage construction works: installation of technology and pressure pipes, electricity;
- Construction and development of housing, real estate business;
- Repair, replacement, installation of machinery and equipment, all types of concrete structures, steel structures, engineering systems (elevators, air conditioning, ventilation, fire prevention, water supply and drainage);
- Consulting investment, implementation of construction investment projects, project planning, bidding consulting, supervision consulting, project management.
- Import and export business of materials, machinery and equipment, spare parts, production materials, consumer materials, production materials, technology lines, machinery, automation equipment, construction materials, means of transport.
- Agent for domestic and foreign companies selling products for production and consumption.
