- VNECO2 Electricity Construction Joint Stock Company was established in 1990, formerly the Distribution Grid Design and Construction Center established under Decision No. 1890 XLD3/P6 dated June 28, 1990 of the Director of Electricity Construction Company 3.
- On June 30, 1993, the Ministry of Energy (now the Ministry of Industry and Trade) issued Decision No. 567 NL/TCCB-LD to establish the Power Construction and Materials Enterprise under Power Construction Company 3 according to Decree 388/HDBT on the basis of the Center for Design and Construction of Electrolysis Grids. coordinate.

- Pursuant to Decision No. 159/2004/QD-BCN dated December 6, 2004 of the Ministry of Industry on converting Electrical Construction Company 3.2 into Electrical Construction Joint Stock Company 3.2, implementing the Resolution of the 2006 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders to change the name of the Joint Stock Company Electrical Construction section 3.2 became VNECO2 Electrical Construction Joint Stock Company.
- On July 26, 2010, shares of VNECO2 Electrical Construction Joint Stock Company were officially listed on the Hanoi Stock Exchange with the stock code of VE2.
