Establishment History:
- The Company's predecessor was the Vegetable and Fruit Logistics Enterprise under Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Corporation, established in 1991 on the basis of merging the City Regional Construction Management Board. Ho Chi Minh City and some departments of Fruit and Vegetable Import-Export Company 3, City. Ho Chi Minh.
- Implementing the policy of reforming and reorganizing state-owned enterprises, on August 10, 1996, the Fruit and Vegetable Logistics Enterprise was transformed into the Fruit and Vegetable Logistics Company. Since 1997, in order to expand business activities, the Company invested in building 3 floating wharves and extending the wharf by 60m, investing in cold storage and building an additional 2,100 m2 dry warehouse and equipping a number of motor vehicles such as forklifts and cranes.In 2001, Fruit and Vegetable Logistics Company was equitized and transformed into Fruit and Vegetable Port Joint Stock Company and officially operated as a joint stock company from May 25, 2001. This is the first port to be equitized in the port system in Ho Chi Minh City area.
- On November 29, 2006, the Chairman of the State Securities Commission issued Listing License No. 88/UBCKGPNY allowing Fruit and Vegetable Port Joint Stock Company to list shares on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange. As expected on December 21, 2006, Vegetable Port Joint Stock Company shares will officially be traded and become the 74th stock listed on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange with the stock code VGP.
- The company began listing with the code VGP on December 21, 2006 on the Ho Chi Minh City stock exchange. Consulting organization: Bao Viet Securities Joint Stock Company. Independent audit: Accounting and Auditing Financial Consulting Services Company (AASC) Ho Chi Minh City branch.
